Life Exchange Chapter 9

Megan wait for Luke in in his office. She went and sat down in Luke's office. His clock has stopped. It has never stopped in all the time he's had it. She opened the clock. There was a little key inside the door. She reached down to the botton of the clock to get the key, and she found a pile of papers. They were contracts, for agreements and business arrangements for the last two years. They had the signatures of the people Luke had made the agreements with. Signatures, stamps, dates. Then Megan noticed something else, this wasn't Luke's signatures, this was Jake's. Only Jake could write that signature, it was very personal one. Megan remembered the many strange things that her husband had done since he came home. Megan took the contracts and put them in her handbag. She was going to show them to Luke tonight. She was going to demand an explanation. The man she had brought home from the hospital was not her husband. Then, she went out of the office.
